Bing experiments with ads IN the organic listings!

I can’t begin to tell you how surprised I am at this news.  Bing are doing something quite controversial in the  land of PPC.

Placing adverts amongst the organic search results is at best cutting-edge and at worst, misleading.  They’re not the first to try this sort of thing, which makes it all the more surprising given that Yahoo and Google’s previous experiments were widely criticised.

Hopefully they’ll release some data to show the results.  I have to admit I’m intrigued!
